Our new house

We love our new house!
It is bigger than the first one...
and we finally have an outdoor playground
with lots of big trees!
We'll show you in a few minutes...

Jerome is really happy about all of this,
despite what the photos show.
He is the one who insisted on wearing
his winter, one-size, now-too-small
pajama during the hottest afternoon
last week-end!

Getting settled has proven to take much
for time than expected.
That's why you haven't seen us in a while.
Mom will get back to commenting on your blogs soon...

She's now back at work and Jerome is
getting used to daycare.
No more crying in the morning: yeah!
We were worried about being alone all day,
it's not the case, for now.
A few weeks ago, daddy lost his job
(the Montreal branch of his company
suddenly closed).
He's working hard to find a new one.

See you in a minute!
Now, where's that camera again...

Bye bye townhouse, hello bungalow!

Who is this moody little guy?
Our brudder Jerome, of course!
As always, he wants to play with the camera
instead of being photographed...

Jerome started daycare last week.
He's a big boy now!
He still would prefer to stay home with Fino and I,
but he has so many new things to learn.
Jerome also started speech therapy
and he's making progress every day.
Where does that leave us?
Well, I guess we'll have to entertain ourselves during the day...
and mom or dad will have to wake up extra early
to walk us a bit in the morning.
The good news is: we'll soon have a lot more room to play!
We'll be moving at the end of the month
to our very first bungalow!
We can't wait!
No wonder our parents are so tired these days, with
all these changes.

Happy Easter everybody!
Remember:: chocolate bunnies are for humans only!

Jerome turned 3

We had a fun run in the park this week-end.
Look, there is ice everywhere!
Surprisingly, the weather is a bit warmer now,
so there are lots of fun stuff to sniff!
"Dad and Jerome, look down before
you take another step!"

Speaking of Jerome, he is turning 3 this week.
He is a big boy now and
he wants to do things
by himself,
including walking us.
He's not yet ready!
Yesterday, we invited mom's family
for a big birthday lunch.
As always, our big brudder
was spoiled!
Earlier this week, Sophie's mom
also made a visit and brought
educational games.
This month's challenge:
learning the colors.
Start by the most beautiful ones,
Jerome: chestnut and white, of course!

Relaxing options

Up until recently, when mom was working on the computer
(or catching up on her friends's whereabouts
on Facebook), Fino and I did not know
what to do.
Usually, this happened when
Jerome was taking a nap
(which is rarer these days)
and I must admit that
stealing his toy cars
when he is not around is not that much fun...

Why not relax a little, then?
To help us with that,
mom bought us two great day beds
just before Christmas...
We love them a lot!

Fino sometimes chews on the pillow,
but he has not done serious damage yet...
Now that Jerome's health is much better,
we are enjoying seeing much more of him.
We know that he is growing fast!
He is now going to daycare 2 mornings/week
to help him gain more independence
before going full-time.
You can do it, big brudder!
We'll sure miss you during the day!

A hot award for a freezing time

The trees, the yard, the cars:
all is white outside!
It's also freezing cold...

To warm our hearts, our dear friends
Momo and Pinot
did this amazing thing:
they gave us the Liebster Award,
created to help small blogs get
more recognition.
Thanks so much!

It's now our time to give back!

We'd like to share this special award with some of our friends
(their blogs must have 200 readers or less, sorry Remington!):

Kodee and Becky
Kosmo and Faith (we love you and we'd like to read newer posts!)
Soggibottom
Charlie
Baika

The links to their fabulous blogs are on the left column.
Merci Momo and Pinot!
We LOVE your blog!

Since we are not big fans of the cold, we are spending
long hours snoozing inside, while Mom and Jerome
are being busy visiting day care centers.
They may have found the right one!
We will keep you posted on this later this week.

Also, our big brudder had a very special day yesterday.
After being postponed many times last year,
his christening finally took place.
Pictures coming soon!
Sleep tight!

We love the Holidays!

Fino and I had a great Holiday week and we hope
it was the same for you!
Our aunt Marie (dad's sister) surprised the family
by inviting us to spend the day at her house
on Christmas Day, so we wouldn't be left alone in our crates.
We had a fantastic time and we behaved really well
(Marie wisely took time to hide all her kids' small toys
before our arrival).
We were so happy when we were finally
all together for dinner!
Jerome was spoiled with lots of toys,
including a train table that mom and dad gave him.
He played with it for hours on Boxing Day!
We were not forgotten!
Mom bought us pretty new day beds and many boxes
of healthy treats. She also received two
beautiful cavalier Christmas ornaments
that she'll cherish forever!
Our favorite gifts were the two soft Nylabones
that mom gave us for the New Year,
after subjecting us to a full
shampoo-conditioner-brushing routine.
We have been chewing on them non-stop since then!
Happy New Year!

Meeting Santa

We just love the Holidays!
Fino and I got to meet Santa
together for the first time last week.
The photo shoot was planned during
Jerome's stay at the hospital.
Mom had to rearrange her schedule
to let us go (thanks daddy!).
It was worth it, wasn't it?

Speaking of our big brudder, he's now home
and he's feeling much better. We're so happy!
Yesterday, his surgeon removed
the adhesive plasters of his lower abdomen
and he told mom that she could
stop giving him his massive dose of daily antibiotic.
He could finally take a bath!

Later this week, we are going to show you
our Christmas tree.
I, Rouky, broke only 2 decorations this year.
If only for that, Santa really has to
give me the new doggie bed I want!
