Cookies please!

A few days ago, my mom received a big box containing products that I loved to chew when I was younger: books! She told me that these ones will help her bake yummy treats for me. It's supposed to be really easy.

Cooking for me? Wow! I must be a special dog! She does not cook that often, even for dad and herself...

"Mom, I'm flattered, but did you need to buy 3 books?" " Rouky, don't you know about Amazon free shipping offer? Besides, these will last a lifetime..."

Always up for a ride!

Don't you just love riding in the car?

Me, I'm always ready to jump in! It usually means that, not only I won't be left at home alone with the cats, but I'll go somewhere fun. Now that I have my very own car seat, I can look outside the window for a while, then fall asleep. And when the engine stops, I instantly feel fully energized!Are we there yet?

What's in a name?

Let me tell you a little bit about my name.

When my mommy is walking me around or playing with me at the dog park, she is asked all the time what is my name.

No, it is not Rocky (do I look like a boxing champion to you, with my long fluffy ears?). And it's not Rookie either.

It is Rouky!

But what does it mean? Mom explained to me that she loves Disney's movie "The fox and the hound", which is titled

"Rox et Rouky" in French.

In the film, Rouky is a beagle, but who cares?

He is a nice and friendly dog like me!

An award for me?

Last week, my mom received some happy news: my super nice friends from Toronto, Momo and Pinot (momoandpinot.com), have given my blog the Sunshine Award. It's such an honour coming from two cavaliers and their mom who keep such a fantastic blog themselves. Thanks Momo and Pinot! I love reading your adventures and seeing your human brudder grow up!********

My mom and my dad have been very busy at work these past days. But don't worry, I was walked every day. I even ran really fast in a nearby park!

Jet-setting

Yesterday, my mom and I went to the chic W hotel in Montreal for a fun photo shoot. Nice people who sell sports clothes wanted to show them to us. Mom got to keep the shirt and the shoes (great!) while I got dozens of hugs and 2 pictures of me trying to move in the right direction. Here they are!

All groomed up

Usually, when I walk the town, the nice people who pet me all say that my hair is really soft. Only, I must tell you that until yesterday, there were a lot of mats hidden on my chest and behind my ears. My groomer, Lulu, took care of everything. I didn't like it much, but I stayed calm the whole time. I also made mom promise to do a better job brushing me from now on.

Blogging can be exhausting

When my mom is working on my blog, I always pitch my ideas.

After a while though, it gets a little boring for me and I go to sleep.

Surely you would think that when my mom is in front of the computer at home, she works all the time...

I must tell you a secret: sometimes, when I open an eye,

I catch her playing with some mysterious "jewels"!
